In nitty gritty, the irons on November 10, 2009 at 4:17 pm

are a changin’. This has been a crazy semester for me, and instead of trying to implement a totally new idea I decided to work on something that I feel gets to the root of my work with the irons. I want the iron to be seen for aesthetic beauty and function, based on the idea that we iron clothes for special events – suggesting that the iron holds many of our memories. I feel that the scanning of the irons and then the burning of the canvas shows that wear on the iron and creates a nice visual representation of memory.
